About the Speakers

Vitaly M. Golomb is currently President & CEO of Sputnik Ecommerce Systems, an award winning web and software development firm in San Francisco. During his tenure, Sputnik’s business has grown 260% year-over-year while serving clients including eLoan, Look Smart, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Datran Media, Namco and Stanford University. From 2003-2005, Mr.Golomb lead a turnaround of All Digital Printing & Graphics, a boutique digital printing facility, before selling the firm. Prior to that, Mr.Golomb ran the User Interface Team at SpinCircuit, an enterprise software company in the electronics manufacturing industry backed by HP, Solectron, Flextronics and Cadence.

Escaping anti-semitism and looking for better opportunities, the Golomb family travelled from Odessa, Ukraine through Austria and Italy to San Francisco in 1990. A natural entrepreneur and leader, Vitaly started his first company at 16 and was managing technical departments in established companies by 18.

He has extensive experience in marketing with several design awards to his credit, as well as a technical background as an information architect, design and marketing consultant to startups and enterprises. Vitaly has been a founding member of a dozen startups and has been a featured speaker on the Business Radio Network as well as at Northwestern Polytechnic University, Cal State Hayward, and UC Berkeley. Mr.Golomb is a frequent advisor on ecommerce strategy. He earned a cum laude bachelors degree at Cogswell College in Computer & Video Imaging

Vivian Deutsch is a principal in IAIA Consulting, the Israeli-American Intercultural Advantage, which assists organizations with an Israeli-American interface to strengthen their cross-cultural management, teamwork and communication. She has over 20 years experience in organizational development, consulting, coaching, training, facilitation and communications, working in Israeli and American divisions of a Fortune 500 high tech company, specifically focused on the requirements for working together across the cultural divide. As an internal organizational consultant, she supported diversity initiatives for US internal organizations and for company sites outside the US in Malaysia, Ireland, Israel, Japan and Europe.

Vivian designed, developed, delivered, facilitated and trained instructors for a wide variety of training, and did extensive work on new hire integration, management development, team effectiveness and workplace skills. She addressed sensitive employee relations issues, and authored key culture-related documents and articles. Vivian holds a Masters Degree from Haifa University in Israel as well as advanced certifications from Columbia University and the Technion.
