Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship in the Silicon Valley
The JHTC is proud to co-sponsor and invite you to attend this special luncheon being hosted by Hadassah of Silicon Valley. Join global entrepreneurs, scientists, engineers and medical professionals for a talk with our honorable guest speaker, William Henry Draper III.
William Henry Draper III, is one of America’s original venture capitalists. In 1965 he founded Sutter Hill Ventures, which organized and financed several hundred high-tech companies. His public service career included serving as Chairman and President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States under President Ronald Reagan, and then as Under-Secretary General of the United Nations, where he oversaw nearly 10,000 international aid projects as CEO of the United Nations Development Program. Currently he is General Partner at Draper Richards L.P., a venture capital fund focusing on early-stage technology companies in the U.S., and Draper International, a venture capital fund investing in private companies with operations in the U.S. and India. He also serves as Co-Chairman of the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, a venture philanthropy firm focused on start-up non-profit organizations promoting social change.
