About the Speaker:
George Haber is a Visionary and successful Serial Entrepreneur, Marketing Guru and Strategist, with proven track record to vision, implement and manage High Tech companies from StartUp inception to M&A or IPO. He’s an active Angel Investor in serious, innovative, disruptive technologies, including companies such as InterVideo, LucidLogix, Zoran, Class Data Systems and Aristo Technology, usually taking the Chairman or a Board role working with entrepreneurs to improve the world.
Haber started his career designing the first hardware accelerator ASIC for Daisy Systems before joining Sun Microsystems in 1989. At Sun, he designed and integrated the FPU in the UltraSPARC chip. He then helped design the 3-D graphics engine for SGI’s INDY-2 professional workstation. In 1993, he co-founded CompCore Multimedia, a multimedia compression technology company that merged with Zoran, and in 1997 he launched GigaPixel, focused on 3-D graphics technology, which merged with 3Dfx in 2000. From 2000-2004, he was founder, chairman and CEO of Mobilygen, creating multimedia processors for mobile and connected video markets.
George is frequently quoted by the press, speaker at national and international conferences, and one of the key people of the Xbox story as told By Dean Takahasi in the book Opening the Xbox: Inside Microsoft’s Plan to Unleash an Entertainment Revolution. He received his bachelor’s degree in computer science and electrical engineering from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
