We are going to talk about a creativity and humor with our fabulous guests: Scott Adams, the autor of Dilbert comics series and Irina Blok, the creator of the Android green man logo. Moderator: Marina Temkin.
Scott Adams is a cartoonist, creator of the Dilbert comic strip and the author of several bestsellers. His Dilbert series came to national prominence through the downsizing period in 1990s America and was then distributed worldwide in over 2,000 newspapers in 65 countries and 25 languages. A former worker in various roles at big businesses, he became a full-time cartoonist in 1995. Adams writes in a satirical, often sarcastic way about the social and mental landscape of white-collar workers in modern corporations and other large enterprises.
Irina Blok is a designer and artist. One of her best known projects was design of the Google Android logo, the first open source logo of its kind. In the past 15 years she has worked for a number of tech companies including Yahoo, Google, Apple and Adobe. Entrepreneur at heart, Irina runs Creative Blok, a little apparel design company inspired by what’s happening in the world today.. She had appeared on ABC’s Reality Show Shark Tank as one of the contestants, and her products were featured in NBC’s Today show, USA today, SF weekly, NY Daily News, Elle Magazine and multiple publications around the world.

Marina Temkin is a business journalist with Mergermarket, a subscription-based newswire service, where she writes about tech startups and Nasdaq 100 companies. Prior to becoming a journalist, Marina was a financial analyst with Duff and Phelps and Reuters. She started her career as a technology investment banker for JP Morgan. Marina attended CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and holds a BS in Economics from UC Davis. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
