While it’s common wisdom that “Change is the only constant,” over the past few years the world has experienced a “new normal” of change, exacerbated by the Covid pandemic.
As Aneel Chima and Ron Gutman outlined in Harvard Business Review, it’s marked by three dimensions:
It’s perpetual — occurring all the time in an ongoing way
It’s pervasive — unfolding in multiple areas of life at once
It’s exponential — accelerating at an increasingly rapid rate…
…and we are experiencing varying levels of success in handling the constant changes occurring in all areas of our lives.
While typically “Managing Change” workshops discuss how to design and lead large-scale organizational change, the focus of this session is on how to help yourself and others handle the changes coming at us every day, from all directions.
We will look at some tools to help you develop resilience and increase your capability to understand your and others’ reactions to change, how to know where to put your effort, and as important, what to let go of, and how to be generous with yourself and others, as we all make our way through a perpetually, pervasively, exponentially changing world.
